A lovely mild day, 11 degrees, overcast and a 12 – 15mph wind.
Some nice winter weights yet again today, mainly silvers but a decent number of carp were caught.
A variety of methods worked today.. Pole, cage feeder, method feeder and waggler, with maggots still the best bait.
Don Lines won section 1 on Queensberry Water and the overall match with 2 small F1 carp caught on the cage feeder/rod, and a mix of roach, skimmers and ide on the pole with a weight of 33lbs 14oz.
Section 1 was won by Steve Royle with a few small skimmers on pole and 7 big ide on waggler/maggot for 27lbs 4oz.
Bruce’s Acre section was won by Ian Whitson with 29lbs of skimmers caught on the pole on peg 14.
Some nice weights / close sections throughout today… Well done guys.!
