Andy Keogh Memorial Feeder Match 26th Oct 2025 – Results

What a day it turned out to be for our annual match in memory of our dear friend and angler, Andy. Despite initial concerns about difficult fishing conditions and a forecast for heavy rain and bitter winds, we certainly got a taste of the latter! Just after the all-in, the weather took a turn, and the rain became intensely cold, cutting horizontally across the fishery. It was truly grim, and everyone had to dig deep to tough out the day.
Fair play to all the anglers, who put in a great effort despite the challenging conditions. I’m sure the thought of a hot shower was on many minds by the all-out! The weigh-in was swift, and the prize-giving followed in the fading light, especially with the clocks going back last night. A huge thank you to Colin and his wife for once again being front and centre with life-saving soups to warm us all up.
Beyond the fishing, it was a very good day for seeing old faces and having quick catch-ups. Everyone was happy to support the vital defibrillator cause that Miora and the Keogh family put in place. While we hope it’s never needed, annual maintenance and paddle replacements are essential. The £350 raised today will go directly towards this cause. Thank you all very much for your incredible generosity.
